Privacy
This site is a reference archive. It has no accounts, no comment forms and no newsletter, so there is nothing here that asks you for personal data.
What we do not do
- No analytics, and no page-view or behaviour tracking of any kind.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party requests. Fonts, styles and scripts are served from this domain, so loading a page contacts nobody but us — your browser never reveals your address to another company on our behalf.
- No profiling, and no automated decision-making.
Cookies
One, and only if you ask for it — see cookies.
Server logs
Our web server keeps standard access logs so the site can be operated and abuse investigated: the requesting IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser's user-agent string. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). These logs are not combined with anything else and are not used to build a picture of an individual.
Where our content comes from
Aircraft facts are drawn from public sources — aviation registries, Wikidata and museums' own published information. That is data about aeroplanes, not about you.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data we hold about you, object to processing, and complain to a supervisory authority. In practice the only such data is in the server logs described above. Contact details are in the imprint.
